Screenings and Discussion
Sunday 10 May 2026 | 19:00 | Theatro Polis
A series of four documentaries by Efi Savvides that explore the political and social dynamics of refugee reception in the Mediterranean.
Within the framework of the research projects “Contesting Migration” and “MEDRECEPTIONS”, led by Olga Demetriou at Durham University and Antonis Ellinas at the University of Cyprus.
The films shed light on how European border control and asylum policies affect small communities and the contestations that emerge there.
The screenings are part of NiMAC’s program for the exhibition “Fluid Persistence”.
