In Touch Without Touching - Art Your Service

A series of on line activities

In touch without touching is a series of online activities the artistic structure our collaborators at .pelma.Lia Haraki would like to share during this lockdown period. These are related to art as a form of reflection, rather than production.

.pelma.Lia Haraki team states: "How can art become a tool for social and psychological consciousness in this new and very particular period? How can we challenge the notion of the virtual in the suddenly dominant online reality but also as a significant factor in the experience of the ‘real’ life? How can art help resist fear as a governing mode for human relations?"

The online activities will be happening every week and will include past and current works, live improvisations and online discussions.

In touch without touching is taking place within the framework of the  collaboration between .pelma.Lia Haraki and NiMAC [The Nicosia Arts Centre, Associated with the Pierides foundation]. Housed at Theatro Polis OPAP.

ART YOUR SERVICE

We begin with ART YOUR SERVICE, a video by Sakari Laurila from the Opening of the Kypria International festival which was directed by Lia Haraki based on “The Performance Shop Concept”. The event took place on September 1st 2019 where several artists presented their works in the streets of the old City of Nicosia Cyprus, inside the windows of shops and through alleys and squares.
