This exhibition presents 14 artists, 9 from Greece and 5 from Cyprus, with common reference on clay.
Fire and earth, water and air, are transformed in clay from Stone Age revealing thus the first human attempts to serve art. The humble material of clay was the core of development of ceramic art. Pottery, amongst various expressions, turned out to be the main evidence of cultural diversity, time and space wise, of dispersed human groups and societies.
Art, poetry, life, man, nature, irony, death, truth and lie are the fields of research of the thematic approach. The participating artists are: Aggelos Makrides, Yiannes (Yiannis Ioarnides), Voula Gounela, Angelos Papadimitriou, Irini Gonou, Nikos Sklavenitis, Nikos Tranos, Maria Loizidou, Theodora Chorafa, Koula Savvidou, Nikos Charalambidis, Themis Laspa, Antonis Tsakiris.
